Currently, I only offer Health Insurance Fund appointments at Confido Tartu. To attend an appointment, a referral from a specialist (e.g., gynecologist, rehabilitation doctor) with code ATF024 (pelvic floor) or ATF020 (pregnancy and postpartum) is required. All Health Insurance Fund appointment times are visible in the Health Portal.
If you have private insurance that covers physiotherapy, a referral (from a specialist or family doctor) is also required. NB! In this case, be sure to select “Initial Consultation”, not “Screening”.
All women who have given birth are welcome for an appointment starting from the 3rd week postpartum — both after vaginal birth and C-section.
The initial consultation does not require a prior visit to a midwife or gynecologist.
However, if you need more recovery time, it is perfectly fine to come later, even several months after.
It is important that you come for an appointment when you feel ready and willing to approach your recovery consciously.
Both last 60 minutes and are tailored to your personal needs. When making your choice, consider the following:

Initial Consultation — choose this if you have private insurance that covers physiotherapy costs.
It is also suitable if you experience diastasis, pelvic floor disorders, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, prolapse, or if you are coming before or after abdominoplasty. Suitable for women at different life stages.

Postpartum Screening — suitable if you do not have private insurance, have given birth within the last year, and want an assessment of your body’s recovery after childbirth.
During the screening, you will receive a personalized plan that helps you decide whether and which exercises or recovery techniques are recommended. If desired, we can also discuss how to safely return to your usual workouts.

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time to complete the questionnaire.
Dress comfortably; if desired, you can also change clothes on-site.
Ideally, schedule your appointment for a time when you are not menstruating. Light bleeding is not an obstacle.
If you experience gynecological complaints or inflammation, be sure to visit a gynecologist before your appointment.
If you have problems with your pelvic floor muscles, a vaginal assessment is very important.
Only this way is it possible to accurately determine if you can contract and relax the muscles, if you can sustain the contraction, and if there are any pain points or restricted mobility.
Without this information, I cannot help you effectively.

If you do not have pelvic floor problems and are coming primarily for abdominal muscles, a vaginal assessment is not directly necessary.

Since gynecologists and midwives rarely assess pelvic floor muscles, this can be very valuable information for you.
You always make the final decision yourself.

At the initial consultation, you will first complete a questionnaire and a consent form.
Then we will discuss your concerns, expectations, and goals.

After the discussion, I will assess the condition of your muscles, using ultrasound, biofeedback-EMG, or manual therapy if necessary.
Then I will teach you the first exercises.
If desired, we can film them with your phone or I can send the instructions via email.

You will leave the appointment in good spirits and with a clear plan.
Please note that I always give homework assignments — rehabilitation is a collaboration: I guide, but consistent practice depends on you.
I promise to give you as much as needed and as little as possible so that the exercises fit into your daily life and are truly manageable.

No, you are not too late.
Even years later, it is possible to consciously support the body, strengthen muscles, and alleviate problems that may arise even long after childbirth.

It is important to begin recovery when you feel ready or have the need for it.
I will help you assess your current situation and create a plan that best supports you based on your current condition.

No, women of all ages are welcome at my appointments, including those who have not given birth.

Some examples of what I can help with:

  • painful intercourse or vaginismus
  • pelvic pain (including that caused by endometriosis)
  • urinary incontinence during physical exertion or exercise

Also welcome are all women who wish to learn how to train their pelvic floor muscles and thereby prevent the onset of problems.

If you have no complaints, I recommend the Postpartum Screening.
Often, one 60-minute appointment is sufficient to get an important overview of your recovery and clear instructions for further steps.

If you have complaints (e.g., diastasis, pelvic floor disorders, prolapse, painful intercourse, pelvic pain, etc.), I will likely invite you for a follow-up appointment in about 4–6 weeks.
NB! It is very important to regularly change the exercise plan during the recovery period.
Muscles do not develop in a comfort zone, and if you do the exact same exercises for a long time, you cannot expect the best results.
Additionally, repeating the same plan becomes tedious, which is why it is advisable to update the plan every 1–2 months.

You can conveniently book an appointment online (payment is made upon booking) or on-site (payment is made at the time of the appointment).
