Women's Health Physiotherapy

I help you recover, train consciously, and feel good in your body.

from pregnancy to postpartum recovery and beyond for life

Individual therapy plans tailored to your goals

Each life stage brings its own changes, and your body may require a different approach during these times – be it pregnancy(ies), childbirth(s), recovery, or (peri)menopause.

As a physiotherapist, I help adjust your physical load, provide advice on training, and teach simple and effective exercises that you can do at home – both for prevention and to alleviate various discomforts. The postpartum period can be challenging in many ways: fatigue, lack of time, body image changes, and insecurity are very common. It is important that you do not have to navigate these changes alone.

I welcome you for an appointment during pregnancy, after childbirth, and in later life stages – whether your goal is prevention, recovery, or simply the desire to feel better in your body. You do not have to be perfect or perfectly consistent. Together, we will find solutions that fit into your daily life.

No specific concerns?

You are welcome from the 3rd week postpartum. The screening provides an overview of the condition of your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles after childbirth. It is also suitable if you have no complaints but wish to start exercising consciously. You will receive initial exercises to do at home.

Do you have a mummy tummy?

If you feel that your abdomen is not retracting after childbirth and restoring your pre-pregnancy shape is harder than expected, one reason may be the separation of the abdominal rectus muscle, or diastasis. During the consultation, I will thoroughly assess your muscles with ultrasound. You will receive a therapy plan to take home.

Pelvic discomfort?

Urinary leakage during sports, as well as when sneezing, coughing, laughing, and performing other daily activities. Diagnosed prolapse and a feeling of heaviness in the pelvis. Painful intercourse. Pelvic pain (endometriosis). Comprehensive pelvic floor muscle assessment + therapy plan.

“Before childbirth, I couldn’t even imagine that recovery might not happen naturally and on its own. Even after an emergency C-section, I only received advice to do Kegel exercises for recovery. However, since I didn’t feel better in my body even several months later, I started looking for more information myself. Going for a consultation was the best decision!”

I help you regain your confidence

Being a mother is wonderful, but it is important for every woman to also feel like a woman.

As a physiotherapist, counseling and your understanding of your role in the recovery process are very important to me. I am ready to help you, but I cannot promise miracles. Changes in the body do not happen overnight or even in a month. By being consistent and finding a little time for yourself, you will achieve all your goals. I will support you on this journey.

My professional dream is that one day all Estonian women would visit a physiotherapist after childbirth and complete an abdominal and pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation program. Just like in Belgium, France, and Germany.
